Ting Yuan Fishhead Hotpot

Ever since our favourite porridge hotpot place closed down months ago, we have been looking for a new place for steamboating. It is rather difficult to make a choice, given the numerous steamboat eateries along Liang Seah Street, but I'm happy to say we've randomly found a rather nice place.

Standing on the one-way street looking in. Parking is available on both sides of the street but at peak periods it is rather difficult to get a lot.

This is what had me going back a second time. Non-chargeable spicy and delicious pork crisps served with your order. Just be careful not to take a bite of the dried chilli unless you wanna cry.

We chose chicken and mala for our soup base. Note that there are three levels of spiciness for the mala base. Although I love spicy food, the medium had me tearing. I'm not sure if it was a fluke though, since we ordered the mild version when we returned the second time, and it was rather bleah. My advice is to order it mild and top up the spiciness as desired.
