Sentosa Boardwalk
So the boy and I braved the rain with a battered blue umbrella, and made the trip across the Boardwalk and into Sentosa Island at the stroke of midnight. Okay, it wasn't midnight yet, but i swear there were two pairs of feet scurrying back out at midnight, not because we feared the spell of romance would be broken, but somewhere in the never-ending cold and rain, we heard our warm and comfortable beds calling out to us.
It was undoubtedly more romantic than catching yet another since-there's-nothing-to-do-so-let's-watch-a-movie movie, and entry on that day was free! Which actually didn't mean anything at all, since the shops and restaurants were all closed by then.
After hemming and hawing and realising that Sentosa was kind of far off into the distance, the boy shouted 'travellator!' and that made up our minds for us.
The viewing gallery halfway across the Boardwalk.
Pillars of light reflected onto the wet floor, just before the ticketing counter.
We're in Sentosa!
The artificial cave behind the man-made waterfall was beautifully lighted, but the rest of the island was in darkness.
We'll leave the rest of the exploring up to you. If you've nothing to do this Lunar New Year, why not huddle across the Boardwalk with your partner. Best done on a rainy night, for sure :)
